The beach works form an ongoing practice exploring the seaside environment as a nonspecific geographical location. The shoreline forms a metaphorical stage for the exploration of ideas around personal relationships. They often focus upon the enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, strength, a moments respite or the shared intimacy between a couple and how the edge of the land forms a reflective space, a place to recoup and review.

These artworks are taken from private commissions as well as solo and group exhibitions. The solo and group shows were titled: Human Presence 2003, Calloused Veneer 2004, A Stones Throw 2005 and Dorian Gray 2005, Interior Landscape 2006, Hunters and Consumers 2007, Oilskin Armour 2007.
